Adding to the popular fēnix multisport watches, Garmin is excited to announce the fēnix 5, 5S and 5X. The fēnix 5 family was designed for athletes of all sizes in mind. With the fēnix 5S, for the first time Garmin has created a smaller sized watch for females and petite wrists without sacrificing performance.
The fēnix 5X boasts preloaded wrist-based mapping; and the compact fēnix 5, like other fēnix watches, is feature-packed and ready to take on any adventure. All of the fēnix 5 models are 24/7 wearable with extended battery life, daily activity tracking, wrist-based heart rate and connected features. The fēnix 5 range also introduces new QuickFit bands, so users can quickly swap out watch bands without tools.
inReach SE+ and inReach Explorer+
Garmin is pleased to announce the first Garmin devices with inReach satellite communication, which was acquired through the purchase of DeLorme last year. The new inReach SE+ and inReach Explorer have 100% global Iridium satellite coverage for two-way messaging anywhere in the world, no mobile service required. Both devices are equipped with an interactive SOS, which triggers an emergency response from GEOS, the 24/7 search and rescue monitoring centre, so users can communicate back and forth and know that help is on the way.
Both models have a built-in GPS for location tracking and basic navigation, and the Explorer+ adds preloaded TOPO maps, compass, barometric altimeter and accelerometer.
